In 2007 I set myself a challenge to try and complete one musical project a month for as long as I could sustain it. This was month two, written and recorded in London and Glasgow in February 2007. The idea with this was to move forward with the Cluster8 agenda of electronic music, add some melody, and also to explore circuit bending and stuff.

So I mapped out a structure of a slow build in intensity for the first section, then it kind of wandered off of its own accord into a weird droning ambient section, before winding up in a swamp of distorted circuit bent Speak & Math tweaking. This also marked a transition point in terms of software, as well as process, in terms of making music.

Today I look back and marvel at how much of a melody I managed to contrive. Nowadays I can barely string three notes together without thinking "no other notes are right for this". Also, I love the way it transitions out of the real musical section and eventually bursts into circuit bent impulsiveness. It's fun.
