The third in the colour-series, red was conceived to be a single continuous piece with a warm hazy tone. As I set about recording it, I decided it should capture a purity of performance, a one-take long-form noise recording featuring one instrument, the bass guitar, and one effect pedal, namely the Boss DF-2 Super Feedbacker and Distortion.

The resulting sound is therefore less abstract and more visceral, of constantly shifting moments, each one dangerously sliding into the next.

As a side note, this was designed to be one single track, but Bandcamp has filesize limits, so I took the opportunity to chop it into several smaller, marginally easier to digest parts. It should still be considered a single continuous piece of music, although given the slow repetitive nature of it, each smaller chunk is kind of representative of the whole, like a fractal. A horrible angular red fractal.

I have remixed and remastered it to give it a little more more width and warmth, but otherwise, this is pretty much as it unfolded as I recorded it. It's an unedited improvised noise piece folks.
